Education, Training and Academic Positions

Monika Lausberg studied human medicine at Julius-Maximilians University of Würzburg. She initially worked clinically in the internal medicine department of Möckmühl Hospital (SLK Clinics Heilbronn), following by the internal medicine department of Sozialstiftung Bamberg. In her subsequent practice, she also worked in the fields of endocrinology and diabetology. Additionally, she obtained the specialist designation in general medicine during her several years of work in the primary care sector. She also holds the additional designation in naturopathic treatment.

Monika Lausberg has been working at the Institute of General Medicine since January 2023. She is part of the General Practice teaching team for the medical students at the university. Additionally, she is co-managing the BeLA project, which aims to introduce students to the role of general practitioners in rural areas. As part of the Train the Trainer education program (TtT) of the „Competence Centre for Advanced Education“ (KWAB), she supports medical colleagues with training authorization in designing the best possible training for their own doctors in training.
